CENTURY MOVING RECOGNIZED WITH ABOVE AND BEYOND AWARD SUPPORT THOSE WHO SERVE IN THE GUARD OR RESERVE
Illinois Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense (DoD) office, announced that Century Moving – an agent for Bekins Van Lines, was honored with an Above and Beyond Award in recognition of extraordinary support of one of its employees who serves in the Army Reserve. Mr. Bob Fleming accepted the award from Michael Holub, Illinois ESGR Vice-Chair, on behalf of Century Moving.

“The ESGR Above and Beyond Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize American employers like Century Moving, who provide extraordinary patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Holub. “Supportive employers like Century Moving are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”
Century Moving now joins with thousands of American employers who have reviewed and amended their current human resources policies to ensure compliance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). Many employers provide support far above and beyond that which is expected or required under USERRA with pay differential to offset the loss of wages, and extension of health care benefits which complement coverage provided by the military when their employees are mobilized.
Tracey Collins, a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, is a 15-year employee of Century Moving and nominated Bob Fleming and Century Moving. “We are honored to have been nominated for this award by Tracey,” said Fleming. “She is a valuable member of the Century Moving team and we are proud to support her in any way possible. She is an asset to our company and we have obtained numerous contracts because of her service and work ethic”
Century Moving, an agent for Bekins Van Lines, is a family owned business, moving the families of the Chicagoland area for over 35 years.

Century moves replica of original Wright Brother's plane.
Century Moving recently took on the very challenging task of moving a full size working replica of the historic Wright Brothers Airplane. We transported it for several parades and community events in the Chicago area and then delivered it to the Museum of Science and Industry where it now hangs above the main floor. This is just one example of our expertise, and another reason that Century Moving is the obvious choice to be your moving company.
